Services

Programs and Services

Our primary mission is dedicated to rescuing puppies and dogs that are surrendered to “high kill” county shelters.  We will occasionally take a hardship case where circumstances do not allow an individual or family to keep their dog.  We will make every attempt to assist in keeping owners united with their dogs.  In return we ask that every effort is made by pet owners to keep their pet with them, or to place it with a friend or relative before merely surrendering them.

Pet Food Pantry

In this economy many have lost their jobs and a pet food pantry may make the difference in a pet not having to be surrendered to a shelter.  As part of our Surrender Prevention Program we offer temporary assistance from our pet food pantry to those individuals who can provide proof of need. This assistance is based on availability and will be on a case by case basis.  DONATIONS for the pet food pantry are greatly appreciated.    Please consider holding a pet food drive in your neighborhood, at your school or place of employment.  You can make it a fun competition.  Check for dog food coupons in your Sunday paper.  Sometimes there are free cans or free envelopes of snacks offered with no purchase necessary.  We will accept all types of pet food.  Dog, cat, rabbit, goat, horse, bird, reptile, etc..  We can always find another rescue or family in need.    We recognize that circumstances change and things happen, but we also expect  pet owners to be responsible.  “Dogs are not accessories”.  We do not believe in dumping them when they are no longer fashionable.  Please consider this when adopting or purchasing a puppy or dog.

Educational Presentations

Upon request, and based on availability we will conduct educational programs.  Our children’s programs are a combination of Child Safety and Animal Care and Welfare.

Our founder Patty Pereira is a retired Law Enforcement Officer and Crime Prevention Specialist.

Please submit your request in writing or via email and let us know the following:

  • Organization or group name.
